Keith has developed his professional career at Royal Insurance Company, Osyr, Bain Dawes Insurance Brokers, Worldwide Insurers, Al Futtaim Willis Towers Watson and Gabon. Keith reestablished himself as an independent Broker specializing in the insurance of Major Construction and Engineering Projects including Operational Insurance across the Globe for the leading Spanish Construction Companies.

MANUEL VERCHER

Manuel began his career as a specialist lawyer in the practice of Civil Liability and insurance, Administrative and Business Law. Manuel began his professional career in the world of Insurance in 2004. He has worked in the Largest international insurance brokers, such Aon and Marsh McLennan as director of the regions of the North of Spain.

GONZALO LACALLE

+40 years’ experience in financial services and investment banking in Madrid and London. He has been Director Corporate Banking in NatWest Spain and CEO of AIG Finance. He was a founding partner of AB Asesores and Head of Investment Banking Services for Spain and Portugal in Barclays de Zoete Wedd, the investment banking arm of Barclays Bank.  He is currently a Partner at Deva, an independent Spanish PR firm specialized in Corporate Reputation and ESG management.

JUAN SÁNCHEZ DE AMORAGA

Juan joined Marsh & McLennan in 2003 from MMC Group as an Engineer of the Risk Management Division. Additionally, Juan joined in 2008 the Large Account department at Willis Iberia where he assumed Client Advocate responsibilities for different clients/ sectors. In 2012 he then moved to the Willis Energy Team in London. In 2015 He became Iberian Head of Construction where he had been Coordinating Single/Specific Projects for large Construction Companies in many geographies across the World.

In May 2019 he founded Jhasa Brokers.

JUAN HURTADO DE AMÉZAGA

Juan joined Marsh& McLennan in 2001 from MMC Group as a Senior Sales Executive where he developed all the national sales strategy coordinating with all the business units. In 2004 he joined the Sales Department of Willis Iberia as a Sales Deputy Manager. In 2014 he became Iberian Head of Sales for Iberia coordinating the different Spanish regions and being the key person for Europe’s Client Management Unit. Juan was a member of the Board of Directors at Willis Towers Watson.

In May 2019 he founded Jhasa Brokers.

JACOBO LACALLE

Director – M&A and Financial Lines

Jacobo has been a Managing Partner at Jhasa since 2020. He began his professional career in the world of Insurance in 2010. He has developed his professional career mainly at Willis Towers Watson in the M&A Team.  He has considerable experience in M&A insurance advisory having been involved in a wide range of Spain, UK, Continental European and cross-border corporate transactions. His transaction experience includes acquisitions, disposals, new formations, restructurings, mergers, and joint ventures for both the private equity and corporate community.

JUAN ESCUDERO

Director – Strategy & Business Development

Juan has been the Director of Strategy at Jhasa since 2021. Prior to that, he has developed his professional career in 2002 at Gamesa as part of the O&M department in Siemsa unit focus in electrical, nuclear and gas projects. In 2010 Juan joined Royal Sun and Alliance as Engineering Underwriter to support the new office opened. He was named Director of Construction and Engineering in RSA Spain and was part of the Wind Centre of Excellence of the Group.

MARCO IGLESIAS

Director – Surety

Marco joined Jhasa Insurance Brokers in 2020 and has been a Director since 2022.  Previously, he worked in the Sales & Marketing area of Marsh MacLennan and Rasher Insurance Broker in Spain covering the Surety and Bond specialty.

GUSTAVO MONTALVO

Director – Construction

Gustavo joined Jhasa after more than 20 years working at Willis Towers Watson Construction Department and AON. His extensive experience has allowed him to successfully manage National and International projects for major clients as Acciona and Ferrovial.

Since 2019 he is leading the Construction & Technical Lines Unit in Jhasa Brokers.

FRANCISCO HERNÁNDEZ – GIL

Director – Property & Casualty

Francisco joined Jhasa in 2021 and leads the P&C Practice.

He began his professional career in the insurance world in 2013 in the Commercial Department of Willis Towers Watson. In 2015 he moved to the Large Accounts Department as Account Manager. After 5 years, in 2019 he joined Rasher Insurance Broker as Senior Account Manager. He has extensive experience in property and casualty insurance management. He has been involved in complex international program placements.

JAIME LOPEZ DE CARRIZOSA

Director – Health & Benefits / Commercial Clients

Jaime began his professional career in 2004 in Fortis in Private Banking department.

In 2009, he joined Inter Riesgo Insurance Broker to lead the business risk and Health & Benefits practice. For the past 11 years, he has been running large health, life, and pension group programs. In 2022, he joined Jhasa to lead the Health & Benefits and Commercial Clients area.

Pedro Gamazo

Director – Castilla y Leon

Pedro has more than 20 years of experience in the world of insurance. He has developed his professional career in the main international insurance brokers, such as Aon and Marsh McLennan.

Over the last years, he has been involved in the management, placement, and design of the main insurance programs in the region of Castilla y Leon.  Pedro has broad experience in the renewable energy and food sector.

In November 2022, Pedro joined Jhasa as Director of the Castilla y Leon office.

BERTA MARQUÍNEZ

Director – General Services & Operations

Berta began her professional career in the world of Insurance in 2008, as Account Executive in the Willis Towers Watson Construction Department. She was the Team Leader of Madrid Business Units, developing and implementing processes in the administrative area, customer service and units, forming and managing a team of 20 people.

Since 2019, Berta is the Operations Director where she is responsible for Administrative and Financial Management.

CTO

Miguel Escanciano has over 25 years of experience in the IT industry.

In the past few years he has focused on technology leadership, acting as CTO at consulting firms from the financial services, energy and logistics technology markets.

He joined Jhasa Brokers at the end of 2020 to lead the technology department with the objective of improving management processes focussed on client service.

ALBERTO LÓPEZ

Claims

Alberto started his professional Career as executive assistant in Corporate & Sales Department at Marsh McLennan in 2018.

In 2019 was assigned to claims department helping key clients of different types of sectors such as hospitality, food sector and Real Estate to solve their pending and future losses as claims executive.

He joined Jhasa Brokers in 2021 as Claims Executive.

JULIO CORAL POLANCO

Jhasa Ecuador

Julio has 32 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance market. He worked 10 years for Seguros Equinoccial, of which 5 years as Claims Adjuster and 5 years as Commercial Manager. He spent 22 years at Generali Ecuador, developing functions as Technical Manager; he was in charge of the technical and statistical management of the company, control of results and placement and administration of reinsurance. He holds a degree in Marketing & Engineering from Polytechnic University of Ecuador.

In March 2022 he started to work for Jhasa Ecuador as Country Manager.

Juan joined Marsh & McLennan in 2003 from MMC Group as an Engineer of the Risk Management Division. He started a new consultancy firm within Marsh (Marsh Risk Consulting SA) where he developed Risk Consultancy Projects regarding Financial and Operational risks. In 2005 he initiated a New Placement Division created to service/place Project Financed related Businesses (Energy & Civil Construction).

In 2008 he joined the Large Account department at Willis Iberia where he assumed Client Advocate responsibilities for different clients/ sectors (Energy, Pulp & Paper, I&T, Food & Beverage, Banking, Mining, etc) and lines of business (PD, GL, Cargo, Environmental, Aviation).

In 2012 he then moved to the Willis Energy Team in London.

In 2013 he joined the WTW Energy Team in Madrid being responsible for the Oil & Gas business.

In 2015 he became Iberian Head of Construction where he had been Coordinating Single/Specific Projects for large Construction Companies in many geographies across the World.
